Tribute evening and volunteer weekAs part of National Volunteer Week, the CABBE is organizing the Volunteer Tribute Evening. The various organizations in the territory are invited to pay tribute to one of their volunteers. The first tribute evening took place in 1986. Every year, CABBE makes it a point to organize an exceptional evening to honour the volunteers of the region. It also provides organizations with promotional items to honour their volunteers.

The food drive(Guignolée)For several years, the Cabbe has been in charge of coordinating the Guignolée in the region. With the participation of several local organizations, people are taking to the streets to collect non-perishable foodstuffs that are stored in the building adjacent to the Cabbe. Bags for depositing non-perishable foodstuffs are distributed in the publi-sac to all households in the territory. Boxes are also installed in schools, churches and grocery stores throughout the territory. The stored commodities are then classified and counted. The Cabbe then compiles the data and makes Christmas baskets, which are then distributed to underprivileged families in the area. Several volunteers are solicited for this activity.
